It’s Friday, and it’s time to drink whiskey and rejoice. If you cashed out your $GME position and bought bourbon, I’m with you. Bourbon tends to be more shelf-stable and appreciates with age. It won’t hurt much going down if you drink the good stuff. Cheers.

Whiskey Stocks Keep Making Headways

The distilled spirits business is booming. Ohio registered the best year yet booze sales. And bourbon has shown to be the most resilient among all American products. Except for guns, of course, because they we’re a bunch of gun nutsos. This week, Distilled Spirits Makers MGP Ingredients Acquired Luxco for $475 Million as reported by Distillery Trail, adding to its name brands portfolio.
Though Brown-Forman and Suntory failed to make headlines in the stock market, the business of whiskey and liquor sales as a whole is as stable as it gets. We expect further growth and consolidation, given how COVID is shaking down the entire booze industry.
